I e-mailed David a long list of random questions.  Here are his responses he e-mailed me today.  Things still are going well!  Lorie

How did she sleep last night?  She slept great. She sleeps like her Dad with her feet hanging out of the bed. I started to move her but she rolled over and put her feet right back out. She did not get up when she woke up so I let her lay there until she stood up. She never did. I guess she is trained to wait on the caregiver. So we got up and had breakfast with Zhou. She sat with him and Nana to eat so she is becoming more comfortable.

Did she stay in a crib? Yes

Did the orphanage send the blanket we had sent her? Yes

What all did they send with her? I noticed a backpack in some of the pictures.  She had the backpack with the little bear, her blanket, and a hat.

She seems to be pretty attached to her bottle (or does she just like to eat?!) She LOVES to eat. She is not "attached" to her bottle but I am trying to keep her hydrated. We sweat a lot when we go out.

With everything she ate last night there is going to be a blow out soon. Maybe you could talk her into going on the potty for that.  She did.  Her Uncle Scott would be proud.

I have noticed in the pictures she cuts her eyes like Kaitlyn (you know, "the look").  She definitely has the look and is not afraid to use it.

The clothes she has worn so far look like they fit her o.k. The clothes fit great and she loves to get dressed. She noticed that her socks had turtles on them and pointed it out to me. She loves to shop. We went to the department store today and got her a stroller. Nana got her a little outfit with a jacket to wear on the plane. The ladies in the store came from all over. She was a big hit.

She seems pretty laid back in the pictures. Does she smile a lot or show much emotion?  She shows more emotion by the hour. She has begun to laugh and smile more and has even tried to communicate with sounds.

Do y'all have a pool at the hotel?  There is a pool here but I have not seen it. We may go down and check it out tonight.

Is Mei letting Nana take care of her or is she still attached to Dad? She is very social now. She let the lady at the department store carry her around for 10 minutes.

Does she respond to Mei or Meimei or both?  Both. But she does not respond well. Very independent.

Okay. First bad spot. I've been trying for the last 20 minutes to put her down for a nap. She's cried the whole time. Dumb me - She wanted a bottle. She is taking it quietly on the bed. I hope she will sleep when done. Her cry is very sweet.

I will e-mail the boys during Mei's nap. It is very hot but not more so than Georgia. The biggest difference is air conditioning is not as cool.  Funny things that happened today: 1. I ran into a lady on her bicycle and she was not happy.  2. Mei had a piece of egg come out of her nose at the notary. Pictures attached of today's events. Love, David & Mei in Zhengzhou
